my friend sylvia recently got a tattoo of one of my utopia mermaids, and i posted the above photo (a cameraphone shot which does not do it justice) to flickr. a few days ago, i received an email from a girl letting me know that about a year ago, she'd gotten a tattoo of my collage exit v, and would send me photos soon.

there's another girl here in SF who began getting tattoos of my collages a couple years ago, she now has three, and though we've met a few times, i still have no photos of them for some reason. but she also waited some time after getting the tattoos before getting in touch with me - and i'm not sure she would have if we didn't have a mutual friend who told me about it.

so the reason i'm writing about this is, if there's anyone else out there who has or is planning to get tattoos of or based on my collages, please get in touch ~ i would absolutely love to hear about it and see pictures of them. it's so wonderful to me.
